Apple may launch two new ultra-thin MacBooks by Q2 2016

‘Let Us Loop You In’ event held on March 21 has been witnessed by thousands of Apple lovers. The show boasted 3 launches, namely the 4-inch iPhone SE, smaller iPad and Apple Watch bands.

Many techies were hoping that Apple would launch new Macbooks at the event but all the hopes got blurred with no such announcement. Fortunately, for those who were patiently waiting for a brand-new MacBook may not need to wait anymore as a new report suggests that the smartphone maker is all set to add a new member to its MacBook family.

Report suggests that Apple has plans to ship the new ultra-thin 13-inch and 15-inch Macbooks by June or July. Apple will hold its WDC (Worldwide Developer conference) event in June so it is highly predicted that Apple might introduce both the MacBooks at the event. The event is likely to take place from June 13 to June 17.

If reports come true, then both the Macbooks could come in a similar design as of the existing 12-inch MacBook has but will be slimmer than the MacBook Air. It is also expected that both the MacBooks could come with the latest Intel processors and will help Apple to boost its notebook sales.

Currently, the 12-inch MacBook comes in three color options, including silver, space grey, and gold. Apple will apparently launch new notebooks with Rose Gold color variant to match the iPhone.

According to reports, with the information of new Macbooks, many Apple rivals like Dell, Asus, and Lenovo have also geared up to be in the race with their new ultra-thin notebooks. Many companies are reportedly preparing new notebooks to compete directly against the highly anticipated Macbooks.

There’s no official word yet, on whether the ultra-thin Macbooks will appear in July or not.  Along with the new Macbooks, Apple’s SIM, which was introduced in 2014, may also soon appear in the iPhone 7.
